In Year 2, we have been busy learning about Mary, Jesus’ mother. We have been talking about what Mary means to us and how special she is. Here are some student responses to the question: What does Mary mean to you?
Mika: Mary is kind, caring, nice, lovely and friendly. She is important to me because she helps people and she is really kind.
Lucas Allan: Mary is kind, caring and special. She is important to me because she is the mother of Jesus.
Sam: Mary is important, kind and loving. She is important to me because she cared for baby Jesus.
Ella: Mary is kind and I love her. If we didn’t have her we wouldn’t have a mother to teach our mothers to be nice.
Cooper: Mary is very kind. Mary talks to all the mothers and tells them to be nice to their friends and family.
Imogen: Mary is merciful and kind. She is important to me because she is kind and generous and helps people who are in need.
We have been busy drawing portraits of Mary. We drew them and then painted over them in edicol dye.
