The Year 3s have been very busy this term!
In writing, we have been working on writing reports. We have identified that a report is a factual piece of writing and that we need to research the information to ensure that what we write about is factually correct. We have also learnt that a newspaper is one of the most common places that we can find reports.
In digital technology, we have been learning about coding. So far this term, we have learnt that an algorithm is a list of steps to finish a task, a program is an algorithm that has been coded into something that can be run by a machine and finally that there can be bugs in a program that can cause the program not work properly and so we’ve been learning how to Debug the program or algorithm to fix the problem.
Most recently in maths, we have been learning about 2D shapes and how quadrilaterals are classified. Let’s test your knowledge… is a square a quadrilateral, a rhombus, a rectangle, a parallelogram or all of the above?
