Our Pre-Primary to Year Six classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards and iPads, ensuring that students have access to the latest tools to enhance their learning experience. We utilise educational software and online resources to create a dynamic and engaging environment that caters to diverse learning styles. By incorporating learning about digital technologies and supporting the development of ICT knowledge and skills we prepare our students for the future, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and technological proficiency.
iPads
Kindy/Pre-Primary: There is a shared bank of iPads that are shared between the students in our early learning space.
Years 1-3: Students in Years 1 to 3 have access to a bank of iPads shared between two classes, with a ratio of one iPad to every two students.
Years 4-6: We operate a 1:1 program from Year 4 with each student having access to a school owned device. The funding for this program is supplemented by parents.
Students are guided to get the most out of the devices to enhance their learning experience. Students use their iPads over the course of the day across learning areas at the discretion of the teacher depending on the learning activity. The use of iPads in the classroom is supported by learning experiences that teach students an understanding of cyber safety, the ability to find and use information, how to work in a collaborative learning environment, the skills to be producers of creative works and an understanding of the social implications of ICT in society.
