Nurturing Student Passions

The Arts

Music Lessons
Students can enrol in our Instrumental Program and learn a musical instrument from one of our visiting instrumental teachers. We offer private and small group on guitar and keyboard. These lessons are run after school through an external provider located at our school premises. Choir
Students in Years 4-6 are invited to audition for the school choir. The choir offers a range of performance opportunities throughout the year, both at school and at community events including schools masses, Carols on the Green, the opening of the K-Mart wishing Tree, the Catholic Performing Arts Festival, and the One Big Voice Festival. Choir rehearsals run before school every Friday at 8am in the music room.

Art Extension

The Art Extension Program provides students who demonstrate a keen interest in the Visual Arts learning area, the opportunity to practise, expand and extend their skills. The program is offered to selected students from years 4-6 and takes place once a week.

The selected students are involved in Art projects around the school. Some of the projects that have involved the Art Extension students have been;

‘Betsy Butters’ painting a cow statue in the Early Years Playground

‘Noongar Seasons Posts’ – painting posts in the Lower Primary Nature Playground representing the Noongar seasons and native flora and fauna specific to each season.

Drama Stars

Drama Stars provides fun, inclusive drama and creative play classes that support children’s personal growth through imaginative and interactive experiences. Through movement, role-play and storytelling, students build confidence and self-esteem, develop social interaction skills, and deepen their understanding of diverse cultural experiences. The program also encourages positive connections between children, their peers and families, fostering a sense of belonging and shared creativity.

Sport

Netball

Playing netball for St. Anthony’s fosters teamwork, communication, and camaraderie. Being part of a team builds trust, encourages mutual support, and creates lasting friendships. It’s a fun and rewarding experience for everyone involved. If you are interested, please contact the club on the information below.

Tennis

Tennis Lessons take place on Monday after school, Wednesday – Thursday Mornings before school. Students from Pre-Primary to Year 6. Plenty of tennis rackets to borrow. Text Mike Roberts on 0412 572 886 to enquire and book a place for your child.

Running Club

Our school’s running club is a fantastic way to kickstart the week! Held every Monday morning before school, it’s not only a great exercise routine but also an excellent training opportunity for cross-country events.

Swim Club

Joining the swim club is a fantastic opportunity for those who have achieved minimum Level 5 or higher in (Royal Life Saving) swimming proficiency. It’s not just about perfecting your strokes; it’s about embracing a lifestyle that enhances your health and prepares you for competitive swimming events. Swim Club takes place Tuesday and Thursday 7-8am before school at Aquamotion Wanneroo. Spots are subject to availability; Term fees apply to cover lane hire and coaching. Badminton

Badminton lessons take place for Years 4 to 6 students on Thursday afternoons from 3:15pm-4:15pm.  Lessons are 60 minutes and 7 weeks of lessons cost $70.  To enrol or for further information text Ali Courtie 0416 482 480.

Extra Curricular

Chess Club

Takes place once a week in the library at lunch time with Mrs Moynihan. Year 3-6 are welcome to join.

Inspire

Inspire is the enrichment program for Year 3 to Year 6 children, which extends children through a variety of learning areas. This is achieved via a learning program, which enhances each child’s God-given gifts and talents through Innovation, Nature, Society, Persistence, Ingenuity, Research and Education. Students are selected into this program based on the following criteria:  

  • Teacher recommendations and class assessment, 
  • Standardised and national testing results. 

Young Engineers

Young Engineers STEM Club offers students the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics through hands-on LEGO building and problem-solving. Using structured challenges and guided play, students design, build and test models that develop creativity, critical thinking and collaboration skills. The club encourages curiosity and perseverance as students experiment, learn from mistakes and work together to bring their ideas to life in a fun and supportive environment.
